RM Equity Partners sells Little Bird and Instikom to LEA Partners

Successful exit from leading digital solutions for early childhood education and childcare in the DACH region

RM Equity Partners (RMEP) has successfully sold Little Bird and Instikom to LEA Partners. Both companies have established themselves as leading providers of digital solutions for early childhood education and childcare.

Little Bird has been the leading provider of digital solutions for the organization and administration of childcare for 17 years. The platform connects parents, municipalities, childcare providers, and facilities, digitally mapping online placement allocation, registration, and administrative processes through to fee calculation.

Instikom (product KIKOM) is a digital daycare app that supports communication, organization, and documentation in daily childcare operations. The app offers features including secure communication with parents, attendance tracking, observation and development documentation, and digital portfolio work.

Little Bird and Instikom form the foundation of the newly established Little Bird Group, through which LEA Partners is consolidating the German market for early childhood education and childcare. The Little Bird Group now unites four software companies from the childcare sector: LITTLE BIRD, KIKOM, Stay Informed, and Kita-Planer.

The transaction underscores the successful development of digital B2B SaaS platforms within RMEP’s portfolio.
