Dating App Pure Reaches $100M Revenue with Strong User Growth

Pure reports 95% user growth while established industry leaders show declining numbers.
Pure, the leading dating app for Gen Z, reached the $100 million annual revenue milestone at the end of 2025. The RM Equity Partners (RMEP) portfolio company achieved impressive 95% year-over-year user growth and 46% revenue growth.
The announcement comes at a notable moment: while Pure expands, established industry giants Match Group and Bumble report significant declines. Tinder decreased 14%, Bumble dropped 11%, and Hinge fell 12% during Q1-Q3 2025 compared to 2024. Pure, by contrast, grew 41% during the same period.

New Expectations for Dating Apps
"Swipe fatigue is redefining the dating app industry," explains Luka Dremelj, CEO of Pure App. "Users want better experiences leading to genuine connections – not endless swiping. Our feed-based design gives people control over their dating journey."
These shifting user expectations are reflected in the numbers. While major platforms using traditional swipe mechanics lose traction, Pure benefits from a differentiated approach.

Success Formula: Balance, Reach, and Safety
Pure's growth is built on several strategic pillars. Through targeted marketing, the platform maintains a balanced 60/40 male-to-female ratio – significantly better than most dating apps, which typically attract more male users.
Geographically, Pure has established strong positions in its core markets. The app ranks among the top 8 grossing lifestyle apps in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, holding position #6 on iOS and #7 on Google Play worldwide.
Another success factor is the consistent focus on safety. Pure has developed a growing suite of safety features, including Safety Signal, Photo Verification, and Age Verification (UK). These features address users' increasing need for security and authenticity in digital dating.

Market Fragmentation as Opportunity
Pure's trajectory since its 2013 launch suggests a fundamental shift in the dating app market. The market may be entering a fragmentation phase where niche players with innovative approaches capture market share from established providers.
Particularly noteworthy: Pure has achieved sustainable growth without the billion-dollar marketing budgets deployed by Match Group or Bumble. This suggests that product-market fit and differentiated positioning may be more important for user acquisition than pure advertising spend.

About Pure App
Pure is a community-driven dating app that connects people through shared interests, combining unique design with privacy-first features. Since launching in 2013 on iOS and Android, Pure App has attracted millions of users worldwide. The app provides a safe and inclusive space for people exploring intentional connections – on their own terms. Pure is where safety and sensuality coexist: consent-forward, with disappearing chats and anonymous profiles.
